Krka National Park: choose Lozovac or Skradin for Skradinski buk

Skradinski buk is the Krka visit where entrance choice and the walking loop matter more than a generic waterfall checklist. The park’s official visitor page lists two entrances for this locality, Lozovac and Skradin, and describes a 1,900-metre one-way circular educational trail around the falls, restored watermills, interpretation panels and visitor facilities.

Choose the entrance before buying the day#

The Skradinski buk visitor page says the ticket includes all land localities in Krka National Park on the same day. That makes it possible to add another site, but it does not remove travel time between entrances or guarantee that every locality is open. Choose Lozovac or Skradin according to your arrival and transport plan, then check the current working hours and entrance information before setting a second stop.

The official page says swimming at Skradinski buk is not allowed, dogs must be on a leash, toilets are available at the Lozovac entrance and near the ethno village, and a tactile map is at the imperial lookout point. Stay on the marked trail and treat the tufa barrier as a protected formation rather than a place to climb.

The locality also connects to optional excursion boats toward Visovac Island and Roški slap. Those are separate time commitments; do not add a boat departure after the loop unless the current boat timetable and your return transport leave room. A visitor who wants only the falls can finish the loop without turning the day into a boat itinerary.

Read the park notices for the wider route#

Krka’s current homepage notification says the road along Brljan Lake is closed to all traffic from 8 June through 7 September 2026 because of slope stabilization, with a detour via the listed state and county roads. It also marks Burnum locality closed for conservation work. These notices do not close the Skradinski buk loop, but they can invalidate a wider driving circuit. Recheck the official homepage immediately before departure.

Krka’s park rules and current weather page belong in the same check. A sunny forecast does not remove slippery tufa, heat or boat timing. Wear shoes with grip, carry water and leave time to stop at the panels and restored mills instead of rushing the loop for a second attraction.
